Dispatch Operative

 

The Role

We are looking for a reliable and organised Dispatch Operative to join our team, supporting the preparation and delivery of bespoke cabinetry and interiors for high-end residential projects.

 
This role would suit someone with experience in dispatch, warehousing, logistics or production support who takes pride in accuracy, organisation and maintaining high standards of work.

Working as part of our dispatch function, you will be responsible for preparing, packaging and coordinating project items, ensuring everything is handled safely, correctly labelled and delivered in line with project timelines and company quality standards.

Our projects range from bespoke kitchens and dressing rooms to full interior fit-outs for luxury residential properties, requiring careful handling and attention to detail at every stage.

Job Description

Project Tasks

– Achieve daily and weekly targets set by the Head of Dispatch.
– Ensure all project paperwork is accurate and up to date.
– Liaise with the Head of Dispatch regarding delivery requirements, highlighting threats or issues promptly.
– Carry out QC checks on all items passing through Area 51, ensuring Halstock quality standards are met.
 

Halstock Dispatch Tasks

– Wrap all items, including internal delivery requests, to Halstock standard and ensure they are safe for transit.
– Label and list all items accurately to Halstock standards.
– Load vans and vehicles safely and correctly.
– Move items offsite or to Halstock premises from external storage units as required.
– Log and complete timesheet hours accurately and on time.
– Supply all information for goods travelling abroad.
– Assist with wrapping and storage of internal joinery or material movements and deliveries.
 

Health & Safety

– Act as a designated first aider as applicable.
– Forklift operation as applicable.
– Wear company-provided clothing and appropriate PPE at all times.
– Follow all Health & Safety procedures as trained and required.

– Forklift experience highly desirable
– Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining quality standards
– Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
– A practical, hands-on approach with confidence in handling and preparing goods for dispatch
– The ability to work independently, use initiative and solve problems as they arise
– A positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and contribute to continuous improvement
– Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across departments
– The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
– A flexible and team-focused approach, supporting wider operations where required
